*reads friend's blog post : i hope they don't fight again*
they fought? oh yes i pray that they'll fight more and they break up.. the sooner the better. the worse the break up the better.
quote by teacher kenneth: sometimes you have to pray for the destruction of others. sometimes you pray that God breaks their heart. because people run back to God with broken hearts. no broken heart, no running to God from the backslided.
it's true. if people are in their own cozy world, they won't feel as if they need God. cz everything would be going their way and life would be perfect. but if they are out of their comfort zones, if they are suffering, if their heart hurts, they would turn to God as their last resort.
[isn't it sad the way most christians only turn to God when they need Him.. it's like..being the boss of God instead of the other way round. cz God should be our boss, not us be His boss..]

ReplyDeletethere is wisdom in your words, sam. I have to admit it... I do feel cold though...
ReplyDeletetis true that people usually only come to God in their times of hurt and pain, but it is not nice to pray for that pain to come, especially if it is on others.
breaking up is the greatest torment to our emotions. It can take a person's life and tear it to pieces, and the scars that remain will laden one with pain even to the end of his days.
Knowing this, won't it hurt you to the thought that you are the one that prayed for this to happen?
if we want people to turn to God, we pray for to God that they will change their hearts, but we don't tell God how to do it. Just let God work his magic (=
Sam, I don't know what you're up to, my words may be harsh cz honestly, you've changed a lot. Sad to say, not for the better but for the worse. I never expected these things to come from you. Even the thought of praying for other people to have a break up. If you wan the person to turn back to God, there are a lot of ways. Including showing your care to the person. Not praying that their lives will have a super duper huge scar that will stay for the rest of their lives!
ReplyDeleteWhat is the difference between praying that the person will have a break up and cursing the person to have a break up?
Moreover, think again. Putting something like this, what if the person whom the 'they' you're referring to reads this? You regard the person as your friend. You PRAYED that YOUR FRIEND will have a break up and a broken heart. What kind of friend are you? You PRAYED that your friend would lose something that is dear to him/her?!
Couldn't imagine how much you've changed. I'm feeling sorry for the person, thou I do not know who the 'they' are.
Hope you wake up from your dreams asap,
Jess
to Jess:
ReplyDeletehave mercy to your friend, and be gentle to her feelings. The sting of criticism hardly ever turn a person from his/her wrong ways. You may be right, but the price you pay to prove it may not be worth it. Besides, She may not have understood the extent of her words when she first said it.
We all make blunders at this young age and we all wish others would be compassionate when judging us. Do then unto others as you would have others done to you (:
=) i understand where both of you are coming from (not to mean any offense to you jess, i wasn't talking about you) but sometimes when there is no other solutions already, that they have to break up or end up in eternal hell, the only way for them to be rescued is to break up.
ReplyDeletesince we live in this country, this issue is sensitive, so i'll use the first alphabeths to explain.
'C' and 'M' (we are the Cs)
if a C person dates an M person and they both eventually ends up getting married, C will officially automatically be changed into and M. and we Cs believe that Ms are facing eternal doom and eternal hell and fire.
so when one of our fellow brothers or sisters are in that situation and the only resort is to break up, of course i pray for them to break up. i rather them suffer a lil on earth than to suffer in unspeakable pain forever after we die.
if you guys don't understand, email me.=)
oh btw zhen yong, i didn't remove your first comment.. don't know how did that happen.. lol..
ReplyDeleteGood that i'm still reading. Its not like the last resort...its some what a race. If that really happens all you need to do is to race with time. Change their decision of getting married b4 they do. Eg showing your care, subconsciously and indirectly influence them and ... i couldn't say the possibility of breaking up is nil. Its just...ugh i need to explain to u in person.
ReplyDeletea brief one would be, both ways, the intention is the same but different way of approach. anyway i guess i'm just being busy body. its none of my concern anyway.
To Zhen Yong,
Tot of replying ur comment but i think there's no need. Moreover, sam's blog is not a forum or a place to spam.
you're talking about people who's relationship are compromising their relationship with God?
ReplyDeleteXD glad you mentioned it... you sound more like yourself now...
sorry sam ):
zhen yong - sorry what? =( talking about Cs puting their relationship before God and even being willing to sacrifice their God for their 'love'.
ReplyDeletejess- =) i probably won't be seeing those few couples ever again, since we've finish SPM. not that close to them =)
yea, we should surrender to God above all
haha... yea, I meant that... I'm just not articulate with words :/ ... we're on the same track now XD
